REWIND: Red Belly

A visit with a backyard Red-bellied Woodpecker from back in March 2016.

A pair of Red-bellied Woodpeckers are constantly at the backyard bird feeders. A male and a female that seem fairly inseparable. Given all the bird feed they eat all day they must be two of the fattest Red-bellied Woodpeckers in the neighborhood. More power to them.
