Gee whiz. No posts for an entire week due to work, the weather, and a presentation. So here is an image from the archive to make up for the temporary hiatus. On a visit to New York City there were all sorts of amazing things to see but one of the most memorable was finding this Red-tailed Hawk stoically perched against the winter cold in Central Park. Earlier in the day we had seen a Red-tailed Hawk soaring over the city so it was quite a coincidence to unexpectedly come upon this individual, which we wondered if it was the same bird as seen flying earlier.
