Was amused the old mid-1960s Hanna-Barbara The Secret Squirrel Show cartoon that parodied the spy movie hype of that era is kept alive today by a phrase used by U.S. intelligence experts, at least according to National Public Radio (NPR). Describing something as “secret squirrel stuff” puts the information beyond the reach of the public and slightly into the land of absurdity. Trying telling that to this squirrel in the backyard.
A story on National Public Radio the other day called “The Cows Did What?” reminded me of this incident that occurred awhile back. The NPR story concerned itself with the often ignored, at least by most humans, fact that cows and other life on this planet can be just as curious and interested in things as people can be.
