A lunar eclipse was visible from Florida starting on the 27th of August with the maximum coverage of shadow occurring around midnight with the whole thing ending a few hours later in the early morning hours of 28 August 2026. All these images were taken from the backyard

When the Earth’s shadow covered the Moon causing it to turn a dark reddish-orange, the coyotes in the cow pasture next door all started howling wildly.

Overcast skies all week broke just long enough to see the entire eclipse in exceptionally clear skies.
