Mega Moon Rocket

Images of the Space Launch System Artemis 1 rocket at Launch Complex 39B at Kennedy Space Center taken during the late afternoon of 30 June 2022 as a storm moved in.

The rocket was being prepared to be moved back to the Vehicle Assembly Building for final checkouts. The Crawler-Transporter can be seen parked at the base of the SLS prior to moving beneath the Mobile Launcher, picking it up, and moving it all back to the VAB.

The next time SLS is on the pad will be for its launch to the Moon on its inaugural test flight. The crawler way the SLS will take back to the VAB can be seen in the foreground.
