Hearing the unmistakable call of the Pileated Woodpecker prompted me to grab my camera and run outside of the office to find this male Pileated making quite an excavation into a palm tree behind Audubon House at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area.  He looked to be having quite a feast having uncovered a large nest of insects.
