With Halloween decorations now manifesting themselves around town in the middle of September I guess it is not too soon to get into the spooky spirit of All Hallows’ Eve. This morning at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area was marked by an animal being hit by a car the night before and a large wake of Black Vultures feeding on the unfortunate roadkill. Some of the Black Vultures were up in the old snag across the street from Audubon House making for a macabre interlude of birdwatching appropriate for the upcoming black cat holiday.
