Write a short play that might be produced on a puppet stage. Use Old King Cole, The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Old Mother Hubbard, or any other nursery rhyme you happen to like.
Make a marionette for one of the characters you like best in the play, Dress the doll in the costume most appropriate for its part. If the teacher prefers, she may assign different characters to different groups so that all the marionettes in the play are made.
