The curve into the straightaway, past the old concrete plant, and through the old Vero Beach downtown runs the Florida East Coast Railway as seen on the first day of spring.  The railroad tracks are a present of Standard Oil tycoon Henry Flagler who built the line down Florida’s east coast in the late 1800s.
