Due to weather and technical delays with Starlink 17, Starlink 18 leapfrogged 17 and launched on 4 February 2021 at 1:19 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The image above is a time exposure of the launch as seen from Vero Beach’s Merrill P. Barber Bridge. At far right along the horizon can be seen the orange streak of the entry burn as the first stage maneuvers for the landing on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
