Late night view of 14th Avenue through the heart of downtown Vero Beach. As interesting as “Theatre Plaza” looks, there is no longer any theater there. The Florida Theater movie house closed decades ago and plans to turn it into a venue for live plays never panned out. Some of the space was turned into apartments but the yawning chasm of the theater is still there, dark and empty. The elaborate neon marquee is now just for show.
