A Halloween mixup with a rare look over Uncle Martin’s shoulder as he pilots his spaceship with Sam in the cockpit viewer giving him advice from the future – as if a Martian needs to be given advice! My Favorite Martian ran on CBS from 1963 to 1966 featuring the adventures of a congenial Martian anthropologist, played by Ray Walson, stranded on Earth after his spaceship crashes leaving him to get by as best he can with his new found human friend Tim O’Hara, a reporter on the Los Angeles Sun played by Bill Bixby. The early to mid-1960s were a fertile time for television science fiction and fantasy spurred on by the birth of the Space Age.
