A Southern Black Racer snake swallows a meal marked by the conspicuous large bulge of its throat as its prey is swallowed. The thick pasture grass at Treasure Hammock Ranch making for an ideal hunting ground for the Racer to move through keeping hidden from its prey until the fateful moment of capture.
