Night Roost – Part 5 of 5

Egret Marsh Stormwater Park is a popular night roost for Sandhill Cranes. At sunset one night an astounding 149 Sandhill Cranes were recorded landing on the algae mat that cleanses canal water where the large birds spend the night. As the skies darkened at sunset, the majority of the Cranes made their way to the Park.

With darkness falling, the Sandhill Cranes settle in for the night.
