Lemur Island

A fenceless island is home to the Ring-tailed Lemurs at the Brevard Zoo. Since they can’t swim, the Lemurs, endangered in their Madagascar homeland, live a J.G. Ballard-esque sort of existence at the Zoo under perpetual observation from mobs of visitors passing close by on an elevated boardwalk with both sides being able to do nothing more than look at the other. For some this could be a problem but for others it seems to be no problem at all.
