The Grackles flocking around the catwalks and surrounding machinery and pipes at the Wastewater Treatment Facility made for an interesting shot. Little did I realize until I got home and examined the photos that there was a Loggerhead Shrike sitting right there with the Grackles completely unseen by me though I was apparently looking right at the bird. Not too much of a stretch to see a Shrike there since the facility is encircled by large fields of well-manicured grass, which must make hunting for prey a bit simpler.
