A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches into the clouds carrying the commercial communication satellite AsiaSat 6 into orbit at 1:00 a.m. on 7 September 2014 from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. AsiaSat 6 will provide video distribution and broadband network services across Asia, Australasia, Central Asia, and the Pacific Islands with optimized power and look angles over the Pacific Rim countries.
