A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches two commercial telecommunications satellites, EUTELSAT 117 West B and ABS-2A respectively, on 15 June 2016 at 10:29 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Both satellites are second new-generation all-electric propulsion satellites built by Boeing Satellite Systems. EUTELSAT 117 West B will provide video and other services throughout Latin America. The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket put on a spectacular show when it finally launched at 4:00 a.m. after a problem with its first stage scrubbed the 1:25 a.m. launch attempt. The long wait had its downside with the occasional appearance of mosquitoes whenever the wind died down, but the Loggerhead Sea Turtle that came ashore to nest right down below on the beach where I had set up the camera on the dune crossover definitely made the night more interesting.
