Mangrove Buckeye butterflies were enjoying the unseasonably warm weather while collecting nectar from the flowers alongside the trail at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area (ORCA).
A Land Crab (Cardisoma guanhumi) came out of its burrow around sunset and attacked my camera though it may have been an act of love rather than hate. This was shot in a mangrove wetland along the Indian River Lagoon in Indian River County, Florida. The acton is sped up to make up for the Crab’s slow movements and today’s short attention span.

A mangrove canopy shades one of the foot bridges at the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area in Indian River County, Florida.
