An abdomen colored with black and yellow strikes marks this as a male halictid bee unlike the all green female. These green metallic bees are loners though their other name, sweat bee, betrays the interest they may have when humans come near. Luckily it was a cool day for exploring the Oslo Riverfront Conservation Area where this action was seen.
