On this anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing on 20 July 1969, here is an original mission patch issued by NASA to the crew of Apollo 11 from The [Neil] Armstrong Family Collection that is on display at the Orlando Science Center. Apollo 11 Command Module Pilot Michael Collins designed the patch. Together, the Apollo 11 crew made up of Commander Neil Armstrong, Lunar Module Pilot Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Collins, decided not to put their names on the patch so that, instead, it would be representative of everyone who worked on fulfilling the mission of landing astronauts on the Moon.
