Tonight’s the night! My new presentation, War Along The Indian River Lagoon: A Temporal Travelogue, premieres at the Pelican Island Audubon Society meeting on Monday, February 24, 2025 starting at 7:00PM at the Vero Beach Community Center, 2266 14th Avenue, Vero Beach.

What it’s about:
Bob Montanaro takes you on a historical journey visiting places of conflict and war along the Indian River Lagoon region that range through the American Revolutionary War, the Seminole Wars, the Civil War, World War II, and more. Today the Indian River Lagoon is a place of quiet retirement communities and tourist destinations that give little indication that the region is at the forefront of United States national security both for current and future wars.
