Found in Alberta, Canada, this “lizard from Alberta” has also been found in the northwestern United States. A carnivore like its relative, the Tyrannosaurus rex, the Albertosaurus is smaller, growing to only 30-feet long and being 11-feet tall at the hip. The Albertosaurus was a denizen of the Late Cretaceous living 74 – 70 million years ago. As seen at the Orlando Science Center.
