The Annular – “Ring of Fire” – Solar Eclipse on 14 October 2023 for those in the western United States through Texas and southward was just a partial eclipse as seen here in Florida from the backyard.  Despite this, the Sun and Moon did not disappoint and the three hour event presented spectacular views.

The Sun even displayed a few sunspots to make it more interesting. The day did not start out perfect, though, it started out completely clouded over but by the time the eclipse started the clouds had all disappeared making for thankfully clear skies.
