I am not a big fan of taxidermy.  Dead is dead.  Trying to make a corpse look lifelike does not work in the funeral parlor, nor does it work with roadkill.  What we have here is a weeklong look at the taxidermal representations of the birds of Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge seen in a new light – the imagined light of the afterlife.
