The original idea was to highlight this dead oak tree on the traffic island by showing the road splitting around it.  Unfortunately, the traffic sign blocks the intended shot plus a sudden onslaught of traffic from both directions hindered any attempt at a prolonged photo shoot.  Sigh, what could have been. . . .
