A hot and hazy day made for murky launch photos as a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carried into orbit the first mission for the U.S. Space Force on 26 March 2020 at 4:18 p.m. from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The sixth launch of an Advanced Extremely High Frequency communications satellite went off without a hitch after a slight delay and as the rocket climbed higher above the hazy ground into clearer air the view became much better as can be seen above.
