While surveying the Indrio Savannahs for insect life this Florida Scrub-Jay showed up looking for a handout. Sadly, all the Scrub-Jays I encountered did the same thing. Not too surprising considering all the people I saw that morning with bags of peanuts feeding these birds. An activity that is illegal and unhealthy for the birds but I guess people just don’t care.
