A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launches NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) at 6:51 p.m. on 18 April 2018 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. TESS will search for alien planets ranging from small, rocky worlds to gas giants orbiting bright host stars relatively close to Earth.
