I usually never see Purple Gallinules, and on the rare occasion when I do see them they are little specks far off in the distance, their glorious plumage coloration hidden mainly from view. Imagine my surprise the other day to find a whole host of them close-up and tolerant to be photographed doing all sorts of things. Look for more Purple Gallinule photos in the future.
