A United Launch Alliance Delta IV rocket Medium+ (4.2) configured with two solid rocket boosters attached to the common booster core launches two Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) satellites into orbit on 19 August 2016 at 12:52 a.m. from Space Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The U.S. Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) will use these two satellites plus two more already in orbit to monitor the activities of other “man-made orbiting objects”.
