The Vero Beach Air Show featured the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet that is a combination of an attack aircraft and a fighter plane flown, in this case, by the U.S. Marines. According to the U.S. Navy, “In its fighter mode, it serves as escort and fleet air defense. In its attack mode, it provides force projection, interdiction, and close and deep air support.” The Super Hornet flew in place of the expected U.S. Navy Blue Angels who canceled their appearance following an accident during an air show earlier this year. Running the weekend of 25 & 26 June 2016, these images are from the close of the show on Sunday afternoon.

Great shots of a fighter plane. All must like a bird.
Fabulous pictures, always wished I could fly one!
