With a bracing wind chill – okay, this is Florida, not Antarctica – it was a cold set-up and wait to photograph the launch of the Thaicom 6 satellite aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, which, thankfully, lifted off on time at 5:06 p.m. on 6 January 2014 from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
